Callum Mahoney (pronounced MAHN-ee) is a rugby coach and strength and conditioning specialist with over 10 years experience in the field. During that time he has coached players ranging in skill level and experience from beginners through to international representatives and professional players. Bringing a unique blend of academic, scientific and “in the trenches” practical experience, his athlete first mentality is apparent in his passion for getting the very best out of each individual he coaches.
As a coach, Callum has worked worked in some of Australia’s top rugby nurseries as well as the more social levels of the sport, while almost without exception delivering an increase in on-field performance and representative selection. Although originally a specialist forwards coach a variety of opportunities over the years has led Callum to develop a more holistic approach to coaching and being knowledgeable with all aspects of the game. It must be said however that Callum is still most at home when he is not more than 10m from a scrum machine.
